Spatial expression of the nonsense-mediated mRNA decay factors UPF3A and UPF3B among mouse tissues

Abstract: Nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) is a highly conserved post-transcriptional gene regulatory mechanism in eukaryotes (Lykke-Andersen and Jensen, 2015; Kurosaki et al., 2019; Yi et al., 2021; Karousis and Mühlemann, 2022; Mailliot et al., 2022). NMD is considered as an RNA surveillance machinery to regulate mRNA abundance and eventual protein expression. NMD can recognize and degrade aberrant mRNAs, which contain premature termination codons (PTCs) located at least 50‍‒‍55 nucleotides upstream of the last exon‍‒‍exon junction. This process prevents possible toxic effects from translated truncated proteins (Lykke-Andersen and Jensen, 2015; Kurosaki et al., 2019; Karousis and Mühlemann, 2022; Mailliot et al., 2022). Previous research has shown that NMD can recognize special structures of mRNAs with physiological functions, such as the long 3' untranslated region (3' UTR) and upstream open reading frames of mRNAs, to regulate cell fate (Li et al., 2015). Thus, NMD is essential for embryonic development and tissue homeostasis in mammals (Lykke-Andersen and Jensen, 2015; Hug et al., 2016; Han et al., 2018; Jaffrey and Wilkinson, 2018; Nasif et al., 2018; Popp and Maquat, 2018; Fang et al., 2022).

摘要:物理层密钥生成技术利用无线信道的互易性、随机性生成共享密钥。然而,多径衰落会降低上行链路和下行链路之间的相关性,从而导致较低的密钥生成速率。本文提出一种基于方向图可重构天线的物理层密钥生成方案提升密钥容量。具体地,我们设计了一种基于智能超表面(Reconfigurable reflecting surface,RIS)的可重构天线架构,利用灵活重构天线方向图的能力,提出基于可重构天线的物理层密钥生成协议。通过提出的基于原子范数最小化的多径信道估计算法以及多径信号匹配接收优化算法,可以实现通过减轻多径衰落的影响提高密钥生成速率。仿真结果表明,与现有方案相比,所提出方案能抵抗多径衰落并实现较高的密钥生成速率。此外,研究结果表明,天线方向图自由度的增加可以显着增加密钥容量。
