Abstract: With increasingly stringent data privacy regulations and heightened public privacy awareness, secure multi-party computation (MPC) and its core component, private set intersection (PSI) technology, have garnered widespread attention. However, standard PSI protocols struggle to address the complex demands of practical applications concerning threshold conditions matching, robustness and security in multi-party environments. To simultaneously resolve these issues, this paper aims to construct an efficient and secure PSI variant protocol. First, we propose an efficient two-party threshold PSI protocol (TPSI) based on Bloom filters and threshold Paillier encryption, reducing computational overhead. Subsequently, by innovatively integrating Shamir’s secret sharing with symmetric encryption techniques, we introduce the multi-party threshold labeled PSI protocol (MTLPSI) with dropout tolerance and resistance against passive collusion in the semi-honest setting. This protocol securely performs threshold private set intersection cardinality testing and label output in multi-party environments subject to node dropouts and passive collusion. Rigorous formal security analyses validate the proposed protocols, offering viable solutions for complex multi-party privacy computing scenarios such as smart cities and collaborative security systems.
