Abstract: In alignment with the proposal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and its flagship journal Engineering, to promote the “ENGINEERING” brand of CAE journals, the journal Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering will be renamed ENGINEERING Information Technology & Electronic Engineering (abbreviated as EITEE) starting January 2026. This issue marks the inaugural use of the new name.
Although the name has changed, our focus remains steadfast: We are committed to exploring cutting-edge developments in information and electronic engineering. Our editorial principles continue to emphasize the promotion of original research, the encouragement of innovations with practical applications, the fostering of interdisciplinary collaboration, the upholding of rigorous and fair peer review, and the maintenance of an international perspective. Our core mission, to serve scientific and technological progress and to extend the benefits of engineering wisdom to human development, remains unchanged.
As the ancient saying goes, “Change leads to progress.” In 2026, EITEE will also evolve. New collaboration platform: We are leveraging the journal publishing platform AcadeMax from Zhejiang University Press and the journal publishing platform from CAE, and we are partnering with IEEE Xplore to establish a global dissemination network.
New publishing model: We will fully transition to open access and implement article-by-article priority publishing to enhance both speed and reach.
New design and layout: We will introduce a technology-inspired cover design and a compact format to improve visual appeal and reading experience.
On behalf of the editorial board and office, we solicit your attention and support as we collaborate to establish EITEE as a trusted platform for academic exchange, benefiting researchers and industry professionals worldwide in the fields of information and electronics.
